Bag of Inspiration

Well I worked on my Bag of Inspiration (Not bag of Junk) (see previous post) and produced this for Ness. A soda can icon which I have titled the Time Machine.
Oh but this is not it! This is the piece I purchase from Michael de Meng!

I used a wonderful cog and I don't know what else to call it, metal piece with glass, and an old chain , a key and a little washer type thing from Ness's collection and the rest from my stash.
I do hope she likes it!
I used one of Tims oversized bottle tops at the top to house the old watch piece. I like the way the bottle top has the opposite look to the large cog.
The key is hanging off an olf watch strap that was part of the container of old watch parts that Jen and I bought at the swap meet.
And before I forget, I have finished cutting out all the bits for the arty_oz collab book - YAHHHHH

Junk

Liz Aitkin has organised a swap on arty_oz, those who have signed up receive a 'bag of junk' from which we must use some of to make something and then return it. This is my pile of junk from Vanessa Henry. It's an amazing treasure trove I love it!

Yesterday I cleared the back garden as it had become overgrown with weeds. When I had finished a family of Magpies came for a feed of the insects.

Just too hot for cats

Another "stinker" today. At least it started off a little cooler this morning. Missy stayed outside in the shade but eventually the heat got too much and she came inside for a cuddle in the airconditioning and to watch the car racing ;-) - YAH for Lewis and Alonso may Karma kick your sorry ass all year
;-)
"J" actually slept on the bed last night. First time in weeks. I thought she may have been a bit spooked by our unwelcome visitor a few weeks ago (ratty).
Anyway this is where she has perched herself tonight. Too bad for me wanting a footrest!

Arty_Oz Collab Book Prototype

This is the prototype for my page in this years Arty_oz Collab book. I still think it looks a little "naked". Once designed though I then have to make 31 of them!

I hope the key isn't too bulky..... The image of the woman started out black and white - oh I do love photoshop!
The motif stamp is a Judikins and the flourish a Stampers Anonymous...

Get Well Soon

This card is for a friend's husband who had a double heart bypass this week.
I used 2 of my favourite stamps which are of course Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stamps ;-)

This arrived today...

I bought this on ebay and it arrived today - isn't it gorge-wah! It'll make such a great necklace - and I'll have to keep it away from that Jenny Crossley!
I couldn't believe my luck only 1 other person bid and they only bid the asking price - how lucky was I?

Two Swaps

Well I finished 2 arty_oz swaps today.

The kit swap - which is a kit I prepare and send to 8 other people. Rules are very strict and basically only a little sponging and adhesives are the only things that can be added. It's fun to see the different designs that people come up with using the same "kit". This one took me ages as I used the gel transfer method to put it on the logarithm paper. I had so much trouble with it! But I once I printed it on my good old Epson Matt paper - it worked like a charm

The other (with the Queue of people) is "Picture This" where I pick an image and email it to 8 other people. The only digital change t the image they can make is to resize it.. The background is paint and is inspired by the work of the very talented Gaby ;-)

Aint she sweet

Jassie has started using her kennel again - she uses it in fits and starts. I washed it last weekend (with grey water) in case another cat had sprayed on it.

Anyway that has worked and she is using it again. And yes that is a mohair rug and a pet (wool) futon that she is sleeping on ;-)

I am going to put a password on my blog which I will be sending to those who I want to have access. If you don't receive an email from me, then you will need to email me if you want to read my blog.
