Village on the Fridge

The Houses are a culmination of 2 swaps, and are mounted on a ruler I bought at the swap meet last week.

Left to right:

Kathy Thompson, Gaby Bieberle, Donna Taylor, Debbie Larcombe, me, Teresa Abajo, Jenny Crossley, Jenny Crossley (again), Cecile Nichols, me, Kathy Thompson, Linda Cain, me, Donna Taylor, Gail Smith, Jenny Crossley,me, Gisele Thierzen, me
**update*** I've had a few comments about the ruler idea and I just want to point out that I got the idea of using the ruler from Cecile Nichols. Although she used a yardstick. I found a yard stick at the junk meet that Jen and I went to but they wanted a ridiculous amount for it, so I settled for this fine little ruler!

Junk Glorious Junk!

What would a trip out with Jen be without a bus trip photo! As you seee Jen (with glasses) was wearing her support hose and sensible shoes.

We managed to buy (between us) a whole box of watch bits so we will have a few bits for sale, so keep your eyes peeled for those. I went mad on keys (as usual) so will have a few of those for sale too.

The medical diary is a crack up, have already got a few atc's in mind using bits out of it.
Excellent Day out ;-)

New "Jenny" Necklace

I've had a bit of a rough week, but had a fab day with Jenny C at a swap meet and also visited one of her favourite antique stores.

Jen and I have the same sense of humour (a bit warped at times) and we had so much fun yesterday. But boy did we walk! Husband Mark was kind enough to drop us off and pick us up at the far end of the swap meet once we got too tired ;-) Thanks Mark.

I'll post photos of the loot soon ;-)

Jen was kind enough to give me another necklace. She is such a clever thing! THANK YOU so much for this Jen ;-) And thanks for such a fun day ;-)

My first award!

Thank you to Linda Cain for my award!

The rules for the “You Make My Day” award are to re-present it to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blog land. Let them know through email or by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times, and if you do, consider yourself really, really loved. So to pass it on and keep the love going .

It has come at a good time, as I am not very well. It's not life threatening, but I am in quite a lot of pain and the medication and pain killers don't appear to be working. It's just a matter of letting this thing run it's course :-(

Anyway back to my inspirations (not in any particular order):

Linda Cain - Right back at your girl - I love the way Linda can use so many colours together - she is the colour guru in my eyes!

Jenny Crossley - GREAT friend and very talented artist - plus a real dag...

Audrey Hernandez - Love this girls work!

Red Velvet - The very talented Judy Wilkenfeld - the Queen of Altered Objects

Michael deMeng - So much talent and such a GREAT teacher!

Gisele Therezien - An amazing artist and also a very good friend

Julie Van Oosten - An inspiration to many! Even if she doen't update her blog very often!

Julian Buttenshaw - I'm in awe of Julian's work and she is so humble of her abilities.

Gaby Bieberle - I love Gaby's work. Her use of paint and bright colours is truly inspirational!

Kathy Wasilewski - Last but not least the very talented Kathy.

Happy Birthday Sis

This isn't going to get to New Zealand in time, but at least it's finished before the big day. My poor friend Wendy will be getting her 50th card and present on her 51st Birthday I think!

The necklace is a Crozzy design ;-)

What a wonderful weekend of classes! Michael is a WONDERFUL teacher and what a lovely relaxed class it was. I have produced my best work ever in a class and that was with fighting headaches and with little sleep and loads of running around ;-)

But.. the weekend was over TOOOO soon!
